At the heart of our nanominiature connectors is the Winchester Interconnect Micro Nanominiature contact system. Using a size thirty, reverse gender system, our stamped pin contact serves as the spring member, while the socket contact is an exposed, closed tube. As the pin contact is mated into the socket, the pin compresses inward. This innovative design ensures a constant normal force between mated contacts, enabling optimal conductivity.

Every Winchester Interconnect Micro’s male pin contact is stamped on a progressive die and captured on a carrier reel in its order of manufacture. For all of our board level, circuit series connectors, both male and female contacts are stamped using a dual thickness material that provides the best coplanarity on the market. Typically, round leads require excess solder paste for termination. We provide a flat rectangular surface mount lead that offers the additional benefits of dimensional consistency, quality control, and reliable connection.
